TENMAT INSULATION PROTECTION COVERS COMPATIBLE WITH NEW LED TECHNOLOGY

Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are a rapidly growing technology for use in energy-efficient lighting and are also becoming increasingly popular in the residential lighting sector.

Nowadays many American homes and businesses are taking advantage of this innovative technology and use LED recessed lights.

Despite their increased energy efficiency, the problems with recessed lights in attic spaces remain the same, even with LED technology.

Recessed lights without a protective enclosure are a potential fire hazard if mistakenly covered with foam, cellulose and other blown-in or lay-in insulation materials and allow costly energy to escape from the building if left uncovered.

From January 30 - February 2 2012 TENMAT had the pleasure to exhibit its line of  insulation protection cover for residential applications at the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance's (SPFA) Annual Convention and Expo in Dallas, TX and celebrating the alliance's 25th Anniversary. Continuing our great success from previous SPFA expos, TENMAT Insulation Protection Covers again drew a lot of interest from the insulation community. 

Insulation contractors familiar with TENMAT valued the covers ease of handling and compatibility with all kinds of insulation, including sprayfoam. Many insulation manufacturers and wholesalers have recognized the importance of TENMAT fire safe Insulation Protection Covers when adding insulation in attic spaces where recessed lights are present and are already recommending the usage of TENMAT Insulation Protection Covers.

BUSY DAYS FOR TENMAT IN SAN FRANCISCO

TENMAT's booth at the Pacific Coast Builder Conference 2011 attracted a huge crowd on all three exhibition days. 

Architects, builders, as well as insulation and electrical contractors stopped by to learn more about TENMAT's 1 and 2 hour UL fire rated enclosures for recessed lights and TENMAT's new insulation protection cover for residential applications. 

Visibly excited, booth visitors picked up additional information material and brochures or engaged in conversations with us. 

Two of the most asked questions were "Where can I purchase the material?" and "Why didn't I come up with this idea?". 

While we cannot answer the latter, we can certainly answer the question regarding availability.
