TENMAT INSULATION PROTECTION COVERS COMPATIBLE WITH NEW LED TECHNOLOGY

Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are a rapidly growing technology for use in energy-efficient lighting and are also becoming increasingly popular in the residential lighting sector.

Nowadays many American homes and businesses are taking advantage of this innovative technology and use LED recessed lights.

Despite their increased energy efficiency, the problems with recessed lights in attic spaces remain the same, even with LED technology.

Recessed lights without a protective enclosure are a potential fire hazard if mistakenly covered with foam, cellulose and other blown-in or lay-in insulation materials and allow costly energy to escape from the building if left uncovered.

To keep up with the growing market for LED lights, TENMAT underwent extensive thermal and flammability tests to confirm that its line of  Insulation Protection Covers can also be used with new LED recessed light technology.

The latest tests confirm that TENMAT Recessed Light Covers are also compatible with LED recessed lights and that the use of TENMAT covers prevents costly energy losses through the ceiling openings.
